The drake Canvasback was still present at Sebasticook Lake in Newport around 9 AM today, viewed from the rest stop adjacent to Rte. 7. There was heavy fog at the time, and an eagle flushed any viewable birds at 9:10 AM. Visibility conditions do appear to be improving at this time in this general area.
