We saw the King Eider in the same cove it was in yesterday at the end of First Street in Biddeford Pool. It was resting on a rock next to a female, so I thought maybe she was a King Eider as well. Looking at my pictures, I think it is a Common Eider because the top of the bill doesn't curve downward. Just wondering if the more experienced birders agree.
We also saw a Murre very close to us, but we could not find it again after it dove. We thought it was a common Murre, but when I went to enter it in e-bird it says the common is uncommon and the Thick-billed more likely. I was wondering if anyone else saw a Murre the today, or if anyone has any thoughts.
