[Maine-birds] Pine Siskins in Cumberland

I wasn't going to mention this but when I checked eBird, there seems to be a lack of sightings in this area so figured it was worth noting.

The first band of marauding Pine Siskins (or as I call them the Sisigoths...) came in from the north and raided my feeders today. I thought it strange that the usual American Goldfinch flock had almost doubled when I noticed that about 15-20 of them were Pine Siskin. Between the approximately 15-20 each of the Siskin and goldfinches they cleaned out half of the contents of my 4 sock feeders and along with the other usual suspects at my cage feeders(titmouse's, cardinals, hairy and downy woodpeckers, chickadees, bluejays, and whitebreasted nuthatches) they put a serious dent in them as well.

But damn if that isn't money well spent...

Cheers!
