[Maine-birds] Re: Canvasback at Sabasticook Lake

A different drake Canvasback joined a large raft of Greater Scaup (& a few goldeneyes)  in Middle Bay, Harpswell, yesterday Dec 06.  That raft has been building in number for awhile, so it probably isn't going anywhere.

Hello everyone,

Jerry Smith found a breeding plumaged male Canvasback on the 5 of December (yesterday) at Sebasticook Lake, and a fair number of people, including myself, were looking for it today. It was still present at the West end of the lake where the Franklin's Gull was often seen a few weeks ago. Also there was a female Gadwall there, a nice addition to the Canvasback!

Good birding,
Kyle
