Heard yesterday 3/31 but the Pine Warbler came to my suet feeder this morning 4/1 to extend greetings for a third year. (I'm west of the turnpike, behind Ogunquit) I think he's comfortable here with all my chickens and ducks roaming around and I hadn't known it would be attracted by suet.
Perennial EPhoebes are updating their nest - in the same place used for 40 years with few exceptions. They arrived 3/31 as well.
Earlier arrivals by MoDoves and Juncos (returning from last warm spell we had), Cardinal pair, and the usual Chickadee clan of WBNuthatches, and Titmice. Fly-overs studying my fowl were RT Hawks, and Turkey Vutures and resident crows.
1/3 mile south of me at my daughter's farm, they've been hearing Woodcock calls for the last week or two.
Thanks to everyone at Mt A Wednesday for sharing ID skills and scopes. The Kestrel photos on full zoom with wind didn't come out so well ;-)
