[Maine-birds] Mt. A Hawk Watch

I participated in a Hawk Watch led by Steve Hale of Open World Explorers on Mt. Agamenticus on Saturday (9/3) from 9am to 1pm.  Turkey Vultures were the predominant species with Bald Eagle, Northern Harrier, and Merlin as other notable sightings.  Full ebird list here:  http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S31442695

It was a beautiful day on the summit with many people visiting the observation deck and enjoying a view through the scopes.

Upcoming birding events are listed here:  http://www.openworldexplorers.com/

(Although there are fees for most events signing up for the Open World Explorer email list gives you free attendance to many of them.)
