[Maine-birds] Webber Pond, Bremen (woodcock)

hi all, heard the first woodcock tonight at dusk--wonderful--perhaps spring is here!
good bird mixture this weekend--yesterday, in the snow, two geese and four mallards in the wet spot in my yard, sitting and dabbling a bit, and under the feeder. also under the feeder and on it-- lots of red-winged blackbirds and a few grackles in too, plus two quite gold goldfinches.  the cardinal has been in and out more often than usual and juncos and regulars are there too.
today in the late afternoon two bald eagles settled on the edge of the ice facing the open water--they would fly a bit and then settle again.
