[Maine-birds] Thrushes & unusual E Phoebe behavior

Whole driving Blackstrap Rd in Falmouth from Portland today, several thrushes flew across the rd (presumably Veeries in light of the other postings).
More interesting was the E Phoebe I saw land on a dead squirrel in the road and fly off w/ a piece of it.  Glad to see it has a survival strategy in the freezing rain and sleet we had today.
Lots of Wood ducks,Ringnecks, 1st of the DC Cormorants, W-T Sparrows and our yard Phoebe in the last couple of days in N Windham.
