[Maine-birds] Sandy Point Morning Flight, 9/20

Hi all,

 

An excellent flight passed over and through Sandy Point Beach, Cousin's Island, Yarmouth this morning.  It was really an exceptional flight given mostly N wind overnight, but the sheer volume of birds on the move (as detected by the radar) produced the great flight.  However, as is typical of a N wind, birds were often very high and were often to the north side of the bridge.  Volume of flight in first hour plus these factors resulted in an absolutely brutal "batting average" of identified to unidentified birds for me.
