[Maine-birds] Addison Marsh, Great yellow-legs, Am widgeon and galwall

Hi birders,

I stopped at the Addison Marsh yesterday afternoon and scanned the marsh across from the boat launch.  Nice group of birds present in the salt pannes and along the shore slightly downstream.

2  Greater yellow-legs
1  Dunlin
1  Red-throated loon  (I would like to say salt panne but it was on the river) first for me at this location
1  Double-crested cormorant
55 Black ducks
36 Mallards (high count for me at the marsh)
1  Blue-winged teal
9  Green-winged teal
1  Gadwall
3  Am widgeon (2 males)
4  Canada geese (low for this time of year, did not count the entire marsh)
~300 Ring-billed gulls
~50 Herring gulls
+ Great bkacj-backed gull
The gull breakdown was a guestimate

Good birding,
