[Maine-birds] Maine Birds

May 20, 5:30 pm - north on the Recreational Trail from Corinna, we went about 1 mile to where Corundel Lake is visible:
    COMMON LOON
    CHIMNEY SWIFT
    DOWNY WOODPECKER
    GREAT CRESTED FLYCATCHER
    WARBLING VIREO
    BLUE JAY
    AMERICAN CROW
    TREE SWALLOW
    BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE
    AMERICAN ROBIN
    EUROPEAN STARLING
    YELLOW WARBLER
    COMMON YELLOWTHROAT pair
    SAVANNAH SPARROW
    SONG SPARROW
    BOBOLINK lots of these
    RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD
    COMMON GRACKLE
    RED CROSSBILL beautiful bird and one we don't see very often
    HOUSE SPARROW
 
    We're looking for the return of Purple Martins in Corinna but haven't seen any yet.
