I was talking with my sister in Illinois who said she'd had 3 male Rose-breasted grosbeaks recently and I bemoaned the fact that I hadn't seen any. As I got up to put away the phone after the call ended, there on the hanging feeder in the back yard were 3 male Rose-breasted grosbeaks! Cool.

At a pond on East Road in New Sweden, we counted 17 Ring-necked ducks yesterday: 4 female and 13 males.
A Belted Kigfisher on a telephone wire near the New Sweden Town Offices on Friday.
