[Maine-birds] Possible Black-headed Gull at Pine Point

Tuesday afternoon, immediately to the right of a large flock of Bonaparte's Gulls roosting on the water at the pine point coop was a decidedly burlier gull, with a hood ending more forward than the Bonaparte hoods, leaving more of the nape of the bird white.  The mantle was not noticeably different than the Bonaparte's. The hood was a chocolate brown color, not the same as the other gulls, although this was most apparent because I had other gulls to compare to.  The wing tips were black.  While I was observing it, it flew directly away from me, while the entire flock of Bonaparte's remained.  I was unable to observe the underwing, or the leading edge of the wing.  The bill color was equivocal at the distance for the view my eyes and my scope allowed, but it was notably heavier than the Bonaparte's  Did not see the legs.  So a maybe......
