[Maine-birds] Re: Tagged Ring-Billed Gull @ Macworth Island

I received information from Ken McKenzie on the banded gull that I saw near Macworth Island. The gull was banded at Memorial Park at Webster Lake in MA on April 4th of this year. Thanks Doug, Turk, and Stella for pointing me in the right direction.

I had a good morning at Riverpoint in Falmouth this morning with 14 warbler species including Blue-Winged, Prairie, 20 Common Yellowthroats, and 18 Northern Parulas. 49 species overall.

Subject: Tagged Ring-Billed Gull @ Macworth Island

Did my shorebird survey this afternoon and I had no shorebirds at Gilsland or Macworth, but I saw 7 FOY Laughing Gulls and one tagged Ring-Billed Gull from the Macworth causeway in Falmouth. The bird appeared to be in it's second year and had orange/red tags with an A on top and the number 1080 below.

Evergreen Cemetary in Portland showed some promising signs early this morning that birds may actually decide to land there. I found 6 warbler species there this morning and 2 FOY Veerys. I heard that the bird walk turned up a Swainsons as well.

Riverpoint in Falmouth was quiet, but has been reliable for Blue-Gray Gnatcatchers. I found my FOY Gray Catbird, Ovenbird, and Spotted Sandpiper there today.
