[Maine-birds] Terns at Pine Point & Capisic

On the jetty at Pine Point we had at least two Roseate and about 50 Common Terns. We also saw a Piping Plover.

We then went to the narrows and saw over 100 terns in a feeding frenzy with Bonaparte Gulls and over 100 Cormorants. The terns were a mixture of Common and Roseate with of course the majority being Common.

We had Willets mating on the flats and 5 Semipalmated Plovers.

We had a singing Marsh Wren at Pelreco.

All this and 42 species at Capisic Pond. We missed the female Summer Tanager but 11 species of warblers including a singing Northern Waterthrush and a pair of Orchard Orioles. Not bad for a rainy day!
