[Maine-birds] Popham Beach - Forster's Tern etc

Green Point (Atkins Bay) this morning had 41 Bonies (no Little Gulls) and 62 Ring-billed Gulls (No Mew Gulls).  Also an adult Forster's Tern in winter garb (actually first seen down here yesterday.

Between here and Popham Beach as high tide arrived, there were:
600+ Semipalmated Sandpipers
100+ Semipalmated Plovers
3 White-rumps
3 Whimbrels
and various other shorebirds in small numbers

also another adult Forster's Tern, possibly same bird as that seen over Atkins Bay earlier.

More interesting perhaps, was a wing-tagged Ring-billed Gull and and a banded and flagged Semipalmated Sandpiper, same individual as seen on Jul 31.  Demonstrating only that the residence time at Popham for migrating peeps may be as much as 6 days for some birds.
