Andrea Perko, Jay Adams and I were also looking for the Mew from 9-11:30am and only found the 6 ring-bills behind the store; none on the roofs or athletic fields at the schools on our first look.
We also checked the harbor where there were about 50 ring-bills on some floating docks at about 9:30; no gulls at Lyman boat builders, or the fields by the old prison.
We then birded Weskeag marsh (lesser and greater yellowlegs, SB dowitchers, semi plovers and sandpipers, snowy egrets, great blue herons, Nelson's sparrows).
We returned to the parking lot and schools for a final try for the Mew Gull and did find some RB gulls on the Oceanside HS roof and athletic fields but no Mew. We left about 11:30.

--From 6:45-7:45 I scanned the rooftops on #7 building at Lyman Morse boatyard as 250+ ring-billed gulls assembled with the rising tide cycle. Only ringed-bills today. Only a half dozen gulls loafing in the parking area behind Thomaston Grocery.Don
