[Maine-birds] Re: Bar Harbor Whale trip Bird ID?

Thank you to everyone who kindly replied. I didn't realize the responses were going to my Gmail account which explains this delayed response. The consensus seems to be that the bird was a South Polar Skua. I received a number of detailed explanations of the reasons why from several people but most especially Derek.
