Linda & I held the Big Sit at Gilsland Farm on Saturday. We were joined
by Frank Paul, Kathy Kelly & Doug Hitchcox for most of the day. We also
had 5 other observers at various times during the day & 18 visitors.
I started at 4:30 am & we ended at about 4:30 pm. It's a good thing we
didn't go till after dark as I got back to my car to find I had a flat
tire & had to call AAA.
The weather was fairly good with mostly cloudy conditions.
We ended up with 56 species starting with a Carolina Wren & an American
Woodcock calling almost simultaneously before dawn & ending with a
Merlin flying almost through the circle as we were packing up.

Thank you to all that helped,
