[Maine-birds] Gray Jay at Reid State Park 9/28/13

Spotted a gray jay while birding (actually looking for sea birds) with my wife at Reid State Park in Georgetown. The jay was very friendly and was acting as though it could have been looking for handouts.

Location was in the spruce trees at the top of the rocks overlooking the ocean and beach. I was able to snap a bunch of pictures since the bird came so close.

I thought it was unusual to see one this far down and on the coast, but after corresponding with the eBird staff it seems that the sighting is more unusual than I had thought.
