We birded the ponds at high tide today. We saw Semipalmated Plovers, Semipalmated Sandpipers, Least Sandpipers, a long White-rumped Sandpiper, seven Dunlin and 3 Lesser Yellowlegs. No Great Egrets today. Yesterday, at low tide only two birds were present - a lone Lesser Yellowlegs and a Long-billed Dowitcher. We are finding that low tide isn't the best time to bird these particular ponds.
