[Maine-birds] Large American Crow movement

Today Jennifer and I witnessed a large movement of American Crows over the course of about 4 hours. We counted almost 2000 birds for about 2 hours and gave up individual counts after that but noted the migration continued for another 2 hours. I have counted as many as 1000 crows in winter roosts but I have seen this many crows migrating overhead for such a sustained period of time.

Protocol: Stationary
Comments:     The large number of American Crows passed overhead  during the entire count period and continued for about 2 more hours in reduced numbers (not counted). They all came from the northeast and headed southwest to west taking advantage of the wind.
