[Maine-birds] Sabattus Lake

I also birded Sabattus late this morning, and had similar counts as Dan and Derek.  Except I totally dipped on the Ruddy Ducks!  I birded the entire perimeter, so must assume they split.  There were essentially no birds off Riley Road.

But if anyone is headed that way, take special care with any Herons you might see.  I photo'd a juvie heron on the beach at the south end (at ca 10 A.M.) that had zero rust on its thighs (pure white), a gray neck, and white belly.  The crown looked very dark (with an even darker streak down the "mohawk zone", and seemed to extend lower than usual in GBH Juvies.  I have nothing to compare it to, as far as size.  It flew from the beach over to the Marr's Point area, but I couldn't relocate it.
