[Maine-birds] Schoodic Point SeaWatch

Last (official) SeaWatch stint of 2013 (7 to 9 AM):

Noteworthy movement of Ring-billed Gull (118),
Outnumbering Herring Gull (89).
This day was not a confusing - are they migrating or are they not kind of day.
Gulls were consistently moving from east to west/southwest. Moving over open ocean toward MDI or south of it.
Early on - groups of RBGU coming by, signaled unusual sort of day to me.
Occasional Black-legged Kittiwake trying to sneak through (7 detected).
1st winter Glaucous gull.

Smattering of others:
one flock of DCCO (40)
one flock of CAGO (19)

Cool to see two separate groups of 3 snow buntings coming in off the ocean, vocalizing.
Another group of 3 was horned larks.

1 Merlin
2 Bald Eagles
1 Robin
1 C. Grackle

Departed too soon. Other duties.
Hope to be reporting weekly winter survey results after Turkey Day.
