[Maine-birds] 100+ Bohemian waxwings in Augusta

Hi folks,

On my way out of town yesterday, I saw a large flock of Bohemian waxwings perched like a group of starlings in the canopies of several trees along Rt. 104 near the turn to Townsend Drive (Road?) (south of the turn).  Townsend Drive/Road takes you toward Barns and Noble/Civic Center Drive.  This estimate was conservative.  The flock took off after 1 to 2 minutes so I could not obtain a full count.

This was my first flock of the year.  I have had a couple of cedar waxwings over the last ten days.

Good birding,

Norm Famous
