Hii all,
Yesterday (Wed) I saw a first winter Iceland gull among about 125 or more herring gulls (more than half first winter birds) below the parking lot at Schoodic Point. There were several gannets passing by plus a black black guillemot, a winter/first winter light colored bird plus two of unknown color (bad light on fly-bys).
Today a small flock of horned larks flew overhead (unknown number), a singing yellow-rumped warbler, a northern parula, a black-throated green warbler and flocks of juncos at the Schoodic Institute at Schoodic Point.
Nice asters and late flowering downy goldenrod (Solidago puberula) in flower along roads and parking lots.
Beautiful weather
