Yesterday morning, I went out to look for Red-Throated loons along the Eastern Promenade. I didnt see them but I was rewarded with other familiar species. Down at the boat launch at the Eastern Prom, I spotted a Great Black Backed Gull. The gull was perched on top of one of the posts in the harbor. There were Ring Billed Gulls and Herring Gulls there as well. I got to see Buffleheads, and Common Eiders for the first time this season. Long Tailed Ducks were also spotted by the old train bridge. All in all it was a great morning of Birding before work.
