Re: [Maine-birds] Re: Tundra/Trumpeter Swan -- Sandy Point, Stockton Springs

Well, tell anyone who sees it to get photographs and voice recordings.  I'm still annoyed that I never persuaded the Ebird guy from New Hampshire that I saw a pair of Tundra Swans.  Cue cranky face.

I checked it off on my life list anyway.  Ppppppppp.

John Wyatt found the white swan, still unidentified, this morning at
Sandy Point WMA (Wildlife Management Area). The bird was distant in
the open water viewed looking west from the end of the WMA access road
off Muskrat Farm Road. This is about 3 miles south of the Penobscot
Narrows bridge and Fort Knox. The small access road is only a short
distance west from Rt 1, is posted, and can be walked from the paved
road (Muskrat Farm Rd), if you are unsure about road condition or
parking. Might be good to where something bright and not something
fluffy and white bobbing from your rear if walking here.
