Re: [Maine-birds] Sandhill Cranes

Following up on Wally's report, the flock Sandhill Cranes across from the Crossroads landfill remained until about 2:30 and then started breaking off, some heading to the southeast toward fields on Route 8 south of Norridgewock. This would be the area where two years ago a flock of 19 cranes settled for a day in mid-November and where last year I saw a flock of 18 in late October.
