While walking the dog about 8:00 am I found a Yellow-breasted Chat in a small patch of winterberry and mixed brush at the curve in the road on Pleasanthill Drive, (off Ridge Road) Waterville, across from mailbox #46. I returned 10 minutes later with my camera but could not relocate the bird (the garbage truck had gone by in the meantime). I hunted the area for another hour, but no luck.
This is a residential development and the patch of brush is very small between houses, but there are lots of potential habitat area behind the houses, and near the interstate, so it could still be in the area; so I will keep looking.
PLEASE respect private property if you try.
