I had the opportunity to stop at a few sites along the local coastline in Kennebunk and Biddeford today. 11 Dunlin foraging on a mudflat at Cape Porpoise. A Merlin at Timber Point. Six Pintail (3 males and 3 females) at the South end of King's Highway in the pools of Batson's Creek at low tide along with a ton of Black Ducks. A lone Snowy Owl was present at Biddeford Pool. I left briefly and when I came back she had taken down a Black Duck. Red-tailed Hawks and Bald Eagles were numerous all along the coast. No large falcons though...
