[Maine-birds] Thick-billed murre and others

Rockport Harbor produced a good visual on the thick-billed murre. I was actively feeding where the ice had cleared.

I also saw and photographed a thick-billed murre at the Rockland Breakwater. Amazing birds. Also along the breakwater two pair of long-tail ducks, horned grebe, red-breasted merganser, loon and several common eiders. Owlshead netted a surf scooter. Camden Harbor saw lots of mallards a few buffleheads.

Very, very cold, but  great sun and lots of fun.

Thanks again to everyone who helped me sort out the Rockland murre identification.

This is the Rockport T-B Murre.

Cheers,
Dave
