[Maine-birds] Warren village

A modest pulse of bird activity near the river today: small flocks of robins, 20 cedar waxwings (first I've seen here this winter); a single common redpoll with goldfinches; female red-bellied at my suet feeder; hooded and common mergansers; the handsome wood duck drake continues with mallards above Main Street bridge; several bald eagles surveying ducks at river's edge. A neighbor reported seeing an eagle take an apparent eel the other day.
