[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights, 1/14-1/16

Hi all,

Just a few notes from the past three days:

- 32 Bald Eagles (very good count for here) and 2 Iceland Gulls (1 each of 1st and 2nd winter), Hatch Hill Landfill, Augusta, 1/16 (with Lois Gerke).

- 1 1st winter and 1 2nd winter Iceland Gulls (1stW bird definitely different from above), Augusta waterfront, 1/16 (with Lois Gerke).

- 76 Common Mergansers, Bowdoin Mill, Topsham, 1/16 (with Lois Gerke).

- 2 drake Barrow's Goldeneyes continue in the Lower Harraseeket River here in South Freeport, between Winslow Park and the Freeport Town Wharf.

- 14 Dunlin continue at Winslow Park.

- Cedar Waxwings and American Robins have increased significantly in the area this week.
