Hello, Mike Waters and I found a fairly fresh deceased gull (appeared to be a 3d or 4th winter herring gull) in the late afternoon, Friday 13 March 2015.
It was on the beach at Pine point, south of the jetty.
It had 3 zip ties: one red one through the leading edge of its left wing, and one orange tie on each leg.
My sunglasses didn't allow me to see if there was any data on these very narrow zip ties. I will appreciate learning what to look for in these circumstances in the future, and how this information is used. A picture is below.
