[Maine-birds] This Week's Highlights, 3/8-13.

 Hi all,

My sightings of note over the past six days included:

- the continuing drake KING EIDER, The Cliff House, York, 3/10 (with Jeannette).
- 69 Harlequin Ducks between The Nubble and Marginal Way, Ogunquit, 3/10 (with Jeannette).
- 1 1st winter Glaucous Gull, Wells Harbor, 3/10 (with Jeannette).
- 2 1st winter Glaucous Gulls and 13 Iceland Gulls (12 1st-winter, 1 adult), Portland Harbor, 3/12.
- 1 female Green-winged Teal has successfully overwintered at Mill Creek Cove and Park in South Portland, joined by two drake Northern Pintails (first of spring), on 3/12.
- 1 Turkey Vulture (FOY), over I-295, Falmouth, 3/12.
- 76 Bohemian Waxwings, Pine Tree Academy, Pownal Rd, Freeport, 3/13.

- at least one drake Barrow's Goldeneye continues in the Lower Harraseeket River here in South Freeport through 3/13.
