[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week, 3/12-18

Hi all,

Just a few additional observations of note and new arrivals over the past seven days, in addition to what I have previously posted here, included:
- 1 American Woodcock (FOY), 2 Red-shouldered Hawks (FOY), 7 Brown-headed Cowbirds (FOY), and 7 Horned Larks, Runaround Pond Road area, Durham, 3/12 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).
- 2 Fox Sparrows (FOY), our yard in Pownal, 3/13. Increased to 3 on 3/14 and one continued through today.
- 3 Killdeer (FOY), Hedgehog Mountain Park, Freeport, 3/15.
- 1 Northern Goshawk, Bradbury Mountain Spring Hawkwatch, 3/16.

- a little pulse of Purple Finches returned to the Pownal area this week. Song Sparrows and Dark-eyed Juncos were also on the move throughout the coastal plain.
