[Maine-birds] Mouth of the Abby Duckage, 3/13

Hi all,

Anna Stunkel, Jeannette, and I birded Merrymeeting Bay today, focusing on the Mouth of the Abagadasset River in Bowdoinham. Two visits there (8:30-9:15am and 12:30-1:00pm) yielded the following totals (high count listed):
251 American Black Ducks
187 Canada Geese
103 Mallards
64 Common Mergansers
61 Green-winged Teal (FOY)
38 Northern Pintail (nice tally!)
8+ Mallard x black duck hybrids
5 Ring-necked Ducks
4 Hooded Mergansers

7 Bald Eagles
