[Maine-birds] York County sightings (Mar 9-15)...

Here are some highlights from the past week in York County:

3/9 (Wednesday)
...Ruffed Grouse, Fox Sparrow (FOY), and singing Purple Finch at Emmons Preserve, Kennebunkport

3/10 (Thursday)
...4 Hooded Mergansers, 1 Wood Duck, and 8 Cedar Waxwings at York County Community College (YCCC), Wells

3/11 (Friday)
...1 Wood Duck, 26 Ring-necked Ducks, and 14 Common Mergansers on Saco River Reservoir viewed from Pleasant Point Park, Buxton

3/12 (Saturday)
...7 Killdeer at Rockin' Horse Stables, Arundel Rd., K'port
...Merlin (FOY) flying over Fortunes Rocks Rd., Biddeford
...2 Fox Sparrows near a feeder in Biddeford

3/13 (Sunday)
...4 Wood Ducks at Etherington Pond, Biddeford
...2 Fish Crows (FOY) with an estimated 250 American Crows near Horrigan Ct., Biddeford (crows seem to gather in this area on either side of the Saco River late in the day, presumably roosting together nearby)

3/14 (Monday)
...40 Cedar Waxwings at YCCC, Wells
