Watched a loudly singing B&W Warbler in the yard this morning. Other highlights on Proctor Road have been the following:
-- Blue-headed Vireo (2)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (6)
Palm Warbler (5)
Yellow-rumped Warbler (4)
Pine Warbler (3)
Northern Rough-winged Swallow (4, busy at nest holes)
Eastern Phoebe (3, one of which was busy constructing a nest)
Eastern Towhee (1)
Swamp Sparrow (2)
Chipping Sparrow (everywhere)
Hermit Thrush (2)
Ruffed Grouse (2)
Wild Turkey (4)
Broad-winged Hawk (1 circled quite low above my head... stellar looks!)
Belted Kingfisher (2, on territory at the ponds)
Eastern Whip-poor-will and American Woodcock singing almost every night
Also: a group of 4 loud and active Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers at the base of Sawyer Mountain in Limerick yesterday.
Happy Spring birding to all,
Lena
