Hi all,
Jeannette and I spent the morning in Scarborough Marsh, accumulating numerous new arrivals and personal FOYs, including:
41 Willets
3 Little Blue Herons
2 Least Sandpipers (Eastern Rd)
1 Marsh Wren (Pelreco marsh)
23 Common Terns (Pine Point)
2 ROSEATE TERNS (Pine Point Beach)
3 Lesser Yellowlegs (Dunstan Landing)
4 Northern Rough-winged Swallows (Prout's Pond)
Additionally, we had a tardy flock of 40-50 PURPLE SANDPIPERS at the Pine Point jetty, 142 Long-tailed Ducks offshore, and a single PIPING PLOVER on the beach.
Other migrants noted included a total of 15 Black-bellied Plovers and 52 Greater Yellowlegs, and increasing numbers of the other wading birds.
