Arrived at Collins Pond in Caribou at 8:30am yesterday morning, aware that I was too early and most geese would be off foraging somewhere. They started coming in at about 10am, and the two Barnacle Geese arrived at precisely 10:45am. At least one Cackling Goose was also easy to pick out. At the pond in Mars Hill, a great assembly of Canada Geese contained a Greater White-fronted Goose and at least one Cackling Goose, though I think I heard more. Two yellow-collared Canada Geese were notable but distant.
A little Youtube video of the goose fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deehHy0mehA.
