Re: [Maine-birds] crows in Fairfield/Waterville

Same phenomenon into Portland every winter night. Been seeing it for many years. I rough counted 3,000 in two large oaks in Deering Park one evening a few years ago. Don't know if it has started into Portland yet but probably so of you are seeing it in Waterville.

Thank you.  It is an amazing sight.  It is worth a late afternoon trip to Exit 130, Main St, Waterville and view the thousands of crows on the east side of I-95 from Home Depot toward Lawrence High School, Fairfield often centered around Eagle Rental.

Tonight during soccer at Lawrence High School, I watched the fall/winter spectacle of crows streaming by in large numbers heading to roost. They came continually in groups throughout the JV game (70 minutes) and part of the Varsity game--another 20 minutes or so.
