We had swirling groups of crows (100+) and mixed grackles/blackbirds (100) making quite the cacophany this morning along with:
4 bluebirds sunning themselves in the top of our ash tree
song sparrows
savannah sparrows
chipping sparrows
all trying to warm up.
Down the road, I found wh. th. sparrows, juncos, a cardinal eating wild grapes, and two y.r. warblers who kept balancing on seedheads and picking through them. Looking for insects among the seeds?
We've also had Canada geese in the corn fields. Hoping to get a photo with the supermoon as they come in.
We had lots of phoebes, but they have moved through.
