Hi all,
Phil McCormack and I spent a very productive morning birding the southern 1/3 of Peak's Island in Casco Bay today. In sheltered areas, there were plenty of birds, and we found a few real goodies. Highlights included a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW along Seashore Avenue, a YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT and an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER in the Battery Steele Conservation Area, and a flock of 57 Brant flying by. A total of 6 species of warblers also included a single Nashville and one Palm.
