Saw one at the head of the island when we were leaving MDI yesterday morning.

Yesterday we observed 5 Horned Grebes during high tide in Flat Bay.  This is first-of-the-year sighting for us and only the second record of Horned Grebes we've seen in the north part of Flat Bay since we moved here.

Shorebird numbers continue to dwindle with only 3 Black-bellied Plover seen yesterday during low tide.

Also, we haven't heard nor seen Red-breasted Nuthatches for two days!  There were such abnormally  large numbers of them for the past month and now - nothing!  Anybody else observing this????
