[Maine-birds] Additional Highlights This Week, 12/16-22

Hi all,

My other observations of note over the past seven days included:

- 7 Greater Scaup, Sandy Point Beach, Yarmouth, 12/16 (with Saturday Morning Birdwalk group).

- 2 Snow Buntings and 38 Horned Larks, Upper St, Turner, 12/17 (with Birds on Tap - Roadtrip! tour group).

- 14 Greater and 8 Lesser Scaup, 100 Common Mergansers, etc, Lake Auburn, 12/17 (with Birds on Tap - Roadtrip! tour group).

- 1 continuing 1st winter Iceland Gull, Auburn-Lewiston riverfront, 12/17 (with Birds on Tap - Roadtrip! tour group).

- 1 Fox Sparrow, our yard in Pownal, 12/19 through at least 12/21.

- 1 1st winter Great Cormorant, Westbrook Riverwalk, 12/19.

- 1 RED CROSSBILL, Florida Lake Park, Freeport, 12/20.

- 1 TURKEY VULTURE, over downtown Gardiner, 12/21.

- 2 1st winter Iceland Gulls, 22 Snow Buntings, and 32+ Bald Eagles, Hatch Hill Landfill, Augusta, 12/21.

Unfortunately, the DICKCISSEL here at the store - present since 11/2 - has not been seen since dusk on Friday, December 15th.
