I’ve spent the last few days birding from Schoodic to Quoddy Head, and there seems to be a surprising number of red-throated loons up this-a-way. More grebes than usual, but fewer scoters.
Most surprising bird so far: a gray catbird at Roque Bluffs State Park on December 1, meowing and chowing down on rose hips.
