I got a very nice Nikon field spotting scope from Maine Audubon gift shop for $400 about 10 years ago. I'm not at home and forget the exact model. One reason I chose it was because it is lightweight, and also because the optics are quite good.

Hi Everyone,I was wondering what spotting scope would be the best bang for your buck under $500? I would appreciate any ideas/input. Many thanks, Aletha
