[Maine-birds] York County Christmas Bird Count: Moody section, 12/18

Hi all,

Marion Sprague joined Jeannette and I for our annual coverage of the Moody section of the York County CBC which includes the southernmost edge of Webhannet Marsh in Wells to downtown Ogunquit, east of and along Rte 1. This productive section once again produced a number of great seasonal highlights. Among the 56 species we recorded today were:

1 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER (the "King Rail spot)")

1 SNOWY OWL (Webhannet Marsh from Eldridge Rd)

1 Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (Huckleberry Rd)

1 Chipping Sparrow (the Sweatshirt Shop, Rte 1, Wells)

3 Northern Harriers

2 Lesser Scaup (Ogunquit Beach)

10 Horned Larks (Ogunquit River Marsh)

1 Razorbill

33 Sanderlings (Moody Beach)

55 Dunlin (Moody-Ogunquit Beach)
